1. Position Statements are created based on the needs of members, as identified by committees, officers, or staff.
2. Each Position Statement is revised as deemed necessary by a committee or by the Board.
3. Position statements must be approved by a majority vote of the board before being publicly available.
1. HAPS Position statements can be accessed on the HAPS website by members or nonmembers.
2. HAPS position statements approved by the Board of Directors for public dissemination are posted at http://www.hapsweb.org/?page=PositionPapers
1. During the course of a normal year, the P&P will be edited and updated as necessary via a google doc in hapsconnect.org
a. At the end of the year in June, a PDF of the current P&P will be archived to hapsconnect.org
b. At that time, the edited version of the P&P shall replace the archived version.
2. Working copies, under revision by the Board, are maintained in the Board Shared Documents.
1. The digital archives include all useful HAPS documents of current or potential use to the Society or its officers or employees.
a. Documents shall reside on hapsconnect.org - see Section 9
b. The Executive Director will provide access to digital archives for the use by the Board or Steering Committee.
c. The Board of Directors shall determine who has access to the archived materials.
1. The printed material archives include all useful HAPS documents of current or potential use to the Society or its officers or employees that are not in digital format.
a. Print archives shall reside with ASG.
b. Business Manager is responsible for safekeeping and following ASG's document retention and destruction policy for printed documents.
